Joined IAF in Jan1970 after completing MBBS from Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, India. Post graduate Dip Av Med from IAM and MD (Gen Med) from AFMC. Served in various units of the Indian Air Force (IAF), including as Commandant of the Institute of AeroSpace Medicine, Bangalore, India. Wrote a chapter on Aviation Medicine in the API text Book of Medicine, 8th Edition. Retired from the IAF in May 200, in the rank of Air Vice Marshal. Presently settled in Pune, India.
